Large regal floral with red and yellow flowers and blue vase

This is a large, bold floral, oil on board painting with red and yellow flowers, from 1944. The painting is signed Oliwer, 1944.  The artist used an impasto technique which produces flowers with a three-dimensional quality.  The blue vase and green foliage contrast nicely with the red and yellow flowers. This painting was previously hung in a manor house in middle-Sweden.  It comes with a large, heavy gilded frame (if desired). The frame has some patina, with missing gilding and plaster work, although the patina works well with the painting and highlights the age and provenance of this lovely piece.  This painting could be a lovely addition to a floral gallery wall as well as a stand alone piece in any room.
