Small Staffordshire style mantel dogs (pair)

These are a pair of small Staffordshire-style mantel dogs sourced in Sweden.  They are stamped Beswick, England 1378-4 on the bottom, which corresponds to models that were made during the 1960s.  This pair are in excellent shape with paint intact and no fading or cracking anywhere.  Beswick was a pottery producer based in London, that opened in 1894.  They produced the Staffordshire dogs and other figurines up until the company was sold to Royal Dalton in 1969. The model number on the bottom provides a clue as to when the figurines might have been produced.

Approximately 9 inches tall and 6 inches wide.

There is a male and a female of this pair – the male is a little bigger, with more prominent markings, slightly larger features.
